Electronics Recycling for Leucadia Homes, Schools & Businesses
Dream E-Waste (Dream Electronic Recycling) recycles electronics for Leucadia households, home offices, shops and studios along North Coast Highway 101, local schools, and businesses throughout Encinitas. There is no e-waste facility inside Leucadia itself. Most residents bring their items to our Oceanside drop-off at 1501 S Coast Hwy, an easy drive up the coast, or to our North County facility at 2930 Norman Strasse Rd in San Marcos. Both are free, and you don’t need an appointment.
We accept almost anything with a cable, plug, or battery. That includes laptops, desktops, iPhones and tablets, TVs and monitors, printers, networking gear, cables, and solar panels. Every storage device is handled through certified data destruction. Our operations are R2v3 certified, and we’re a registered California electronic waste collector (CEWID #127772), so your devices are recycled responsibly and never end up in a landfill.
For businesses, medical and dental offices, property managers, and schools, we offer free on-site pickup when you have multiple computers or larger loads. We also provide on-site hard drive shredding you can watch in person, IT asset disposition, and a Certificate of Destruction for your compliance records. California law prohibits throwing most electronics in the trash, so we make the legal option the easy one.

Frequently Asked Questions
E-Waste Recycling in Leucadia, Encinitas
Leucadia is the coastal neighborhood at the northern end of Encinitas, stretching along North Coast Highway 101 from Encinitas Blvd up to Batiquitos Lagoon. It’s a mix of beach cottages, mid-century homes, and small businesses: surf shops, galleries, cafés, and home-based studios. That means a steady stream of old laptops, phones, TVs, and office equipment that need somewhere to go.
Because Leucadia has no electronics recycling facility of its own, residents often hold on to old devices or aren’t sure where to take them. California doesn’t allow most electronics in household trash, so a registered recycler is the legal option. Our Oceanside location is a short drive north via Coast Highway or I-5, and our San Marcos facility is a quick trip inland. Both accept drop-offs for free, with no appointment.
We also work with Leucadia’s schools in the Encinitas Union and San Dieguito Union High School districts, local offices, and property managers handling tenant move-outs. For larger loads, we offer free pickup anywhere in Leucadia and Encinitas, along with certified hard drive destruction for anyone with sensitive data.
Whether you are clearing out home electronics near Beacon’s Beach or upgrading computers at an office off Leucadia Blvd, Dream E-Waste makes it easy to recycle e-waste responsibly.
